Bernd Fritzsch, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biology at the University of Iowa, is Editor in Chief of a recently published book, "The Senses: A Comprehensive Reference," Second Edition. The book is a comprehensive overview of the knowledge accumulated on the function of sense organs, sensory systems, and how the brain processes sensory input. The book is written for a wide audience including students, scholars, medical doctors, as well as anyone interested in neuroscience.
