DNA Interest Group: Ancestry Prediction
This coming Tuesday, February 28, the Personal Genome Learning Center is holding its monthly DNA Interest Group meeting at the Iowa City Public Library from 6:00 - 7:00pm in Meeting Room A. These monthly meetings are free and open to the general public. A flyer is attached with a meeting schedule and topics through May. This Tuesday's meeting is on ancestry prediction.
The Personal Genome Learning Center is a student group at the University of Iowa with a mission to foster knowledge of genetic and evolutionary principles through engagement with personal genomics. The center was established through a grant from the Carver Trust. Outreach efforts of the Personal Genome Learning Center focus on educating the millions of consumers that have already taken commercial DNA tests (23andMe, AncestryDNA, etc.) or are considering doing so.
