Dr. Andrew Forbes, Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Iowa, is featured in The Atlantic for his research on the inordinate number of wasps in the world. Dr. Forbes and members of his lab – Robin Bagley (postdoctoral research scholar), Marc Beer (undergraduate student), Alaine Hippee (Ph.D. student), and Heather Widmayer (Master's student) – authored a paper that wasps probably boast a greater array of species than beetles, the long-held favorites.
