Biology Professor Interviewed on the use of Genealogy Databases to Solve Crimes
University of Iowa Biology professor, Bryant McAllister, was interviewed by KWWL News on Tuesday, June 26 for the DNA Interest Group's meeting on the topic of investigators using genealogy databases, such as Ancestry and 23andMe, to solve crimes. McAllister is the organizer of the DNA Interest Group - Iowa City that meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month in the Iowa City Public Library. Meetings are free and open to the public. McAllister is assisted by undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Iowa.
