Biology Professor named Collegiate Fellow

March 7, 2017

Bernd Fritzsch, PhD, Professor of Biology and Director of the Center on Aging and Aging Mind & Brain Initiative, was recently named a Collegiate Fellow in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. This award was created to recognize senior faculty whose distinction in teaching and scholarship is matched by exceptional leadership in service to the University, the College, and their departments.

The designation as Collegiate Fellow is a five-year renewable term, beginning July 1, 2017, and running through June 30, 2022. An endowment to the College will support a one-time $2,000 teaching/research award to be used during the first two years of his appointment.

Fritzsch will be honored when introduced as a Collegiate Fellow at the College’s Faculty Honors Celebration on April 17, 2017.
