Department of Biology Student-Athletes Named Big Ten Conference Distinguished Scholars

Recipients of the Distinguished Scholar Award must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year and have a minimum grade point average of 3.7 or higher for the previous academic year (excluding summer school). The Distinguished Scholar Award was established in 2008 to supplement the Academic All-Big Ten program.
A special shout-out to these Department of Biology student-athletes:
- Jenny Cape* (Women's Soccer) - Biomedical Sciences major
- Ashleigh Jacobs (Women's Tennis) - Biology major and undergraduate researcher in the Eberl Lab.
- Noah Scigliano* (Men's Gymnastics) - Biomedical Sciences major
- Allyson Steffensmeier* (Women's Gymnastics) - Biomedical Sciences major
*Maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the 2020-21 academic term.
