The annual Rival Against Hunger Food Drive Competition between the University of Iowa and Iowa State University was held September 3-13, 2024. The Department of Biology participated in the competition, which supports the Food Pantry at Iowa, and collected the most items across all UI departments/programs. The University of Iowa also won the overall competition collecting 2,558 items (totaling 1,258 lbs) compared to Iowa State's 323 items collected.
