Yikang Rong, Ph.D., a Visiting Scholar (Helen C. Levitt Visiting Endowed Professorship) in Lori Wallrath's lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Iowa, will be giving a seminar on Monday, April 6, at 4:00pm in Kollros Auditorium (Room 101), Biology Building East (BBE). John Manak, Ph.D., is the faculty host.

Summary: An RNA polymerase III transcribed small RNA assembles a potent regulator of RNA Pol II in animal cells. Our studies start to unravel its organismal functions in preventing tumor growth and supporting neuromuscular development.
