Emily O’Brien was already a familiar face in Assistant Professor Bin He’s Lab when she became a full-time Research Assistant in May 2022. Emily grew up in the small town of Sumner, Iowa, before attending the University of Iowa. She came to the He Lab as an undergraduate researcher in fall 2020 and then moved into a temporary Research Assistant position in May 2021 after graduating with her B.S. degree in Biology. We’re happy to have Emily here full-time now, continuing to contribute to research excellence in the department!
