Brandon Waltz, assistant professor of instruction in the Department of Biology, and third-year student Lilly Froehlich, combined their skills and recently published "Water Bear Don’t Care!", a children's biology book about a microscopic creature.

Abby Ryon, originally from Mount Pleasant, Iowa, graduated in Spring 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Integrative Biology track) with Distinction, and was a member of Ana Llopart's lab in the Department of Biology where she studied the genetic basis of hybrid female sterility in fruit flies.
